"We Have Seen His Glory"
The Gospel of John
Continues February 19

"We have seen His glory," John writes. The Apostle is speaking of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ, the One He describes as the Word, the One who was with God and who was God, the Creator and Sustainer, the One who came from the Father and who made His dwelling among us, giving His life for sinners.

John shows the simplicity and the depth of the gospel in this gospel account that is both simple and yet profound beyond measure.

John's  stated purpose is that we may believe on Christ. He writes in order to lead the lost to Christ and to deepen the faith of those who know Christ. His purpose is our goal. Come and see His glory!

"The Fear of the Lord in the Psalms"

The book of Psalms portrays godliness through the praise, prayers, and worship of God's people. It is no surprise that the fear of the Lord - called "the soul of godliness" - is a topic and theme that is woven into the very fabric of the Psalms. We will be looking at chapters where the fear of the Lord is explicitly stated, to the end that we may grow in the godliness that is grounded and nurtured in the fear of our great and gracious God.

"King’s Cross is Timothy Keller’s revelatory look at the life of Christ as told in the Gospel of Mark. In it, Keller shows how the story of Jesus is at once cosmic, historical, and personal, calling each of us to look anew at our relationship with God. Like Keller’s other books, King’s Cross is written for both skeptics and the faithful, for those struggling to understand who Jesus is and for Christians seeking to know him more intimately."

Timothy Keller is the Senior Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Manhattan and has written numerous books that are widely used.
