Children's Choir
The Children's Choir has resumed!
The children practice with "Mrs. Linda and Mr. Harry" on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m., prior to Catechism class.
Something new this year: Children who learn one verse of each of ten selected hymns will be recognized with the presentation of a Trinity Hymnal embossed with their name. This ministry is to encourage our children to learn the great hymns of the faith.

A NOTE FROM MRS. LINDA
This year, Harry and I are encouraging all of our young singers to memorize one verse of ten different hymns from our hymnal. What a great way to preserve the old hymns of the church and learn good, solid theology at the same time! Gene Price has promised to include these in our worship services as we get to them, so that our young ones can participate more fully in worship.
We're having lots of fun with this. We've started with the Doxology and the Gloria Patri, both of which are sung each Sunday. Be listening for loud young voices chiming in on these in the sanctuary.
Here's a list of the hymns we're singing this year:
The Doxology
The Gloria Patri
Amazing Grace
Blessed Assurance
Faith of Our Fathers
Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Holy, Holy, Holy
Rock of Ages
Sweet Hour of Prayer
What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Although a lovely voice would be most pleasing to the ear, knowing the words with a joyful sound is what we're striving for. Each child who completes all ten songs will receive a Trinity Hymnal with his/her name embossed in GOLD!
Please be practicing the Doxology and Gloria Patri in the car as you're going back and forth to school. We've discussed all those old-timey phrases and what they mean. Your child might be able to explain it to you!
We hope to see you on Sunday evenings at 5:30 at the the church.
"Sing"cerely yours,
Linda
