A family of believers joyfully committed to advancing the kingdom of God

Membership Classes for Youth

Membership Classes for Youth are taught by the pastor as needed throughout the year.

The class is intended for NCPC children and youth who are interested in learning more of what church membership means and of the process for becoming a communing member of the church.

Click here for an outline of the classes.  These classes follow an outline of:

     1.  Believing on Christ
     2.  Behaving like Christ
     3.  Belonging to Christ and His Church
     4.  Becoming a Communing Member of NCPC

The children of believers are, through the covenant and by right of birth, non-communing members of the church. Hence they are entitled to Baptism, and to the pastoral oversight, instruction and government of the church, with a view to their embracing Christ and thus possessin personally all benefits of the covenant.

Communing members are those who have made a profession of faith in Christ, have been baptized, and have been admitted by the Session to the Lord's Table.
The Church should maintain constant and sympathetic relations with the children. It also should encourage them, on coming to years of discretion, to make confession of the Lord Jesus Christ and to enter upon all privileges of full church membership.
