A family of believers joyfully committed to advancing the kingdom of God

Women in the Church

Monthly Fellowship and Bible studies for the Women in the Church begin in September and meet each month through May. The evening study ("Circle I") is held on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.  The morning study ("Circle II") is held on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.   Both Circles meet at the church facility on hwy. 98.  A nursery is available for both meetings.

The overall goal of WIC is to glorify God and to ground its members in the Christian faithThis goal is accomplished through the following objectives:
  • To provide spiritual fellowship to women through prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and service;
  • To know and love one another as sisters in Christ
  • To be personally committed to blessing one another;
  • To set examples to others through leadership and involvement;
  • To learn from one another through regular fellowship;
  • To enrich the church ministry by serving others through committees, programs, devotions, Bible studies, prayer, and Christian endeavors.

ABOUT WIC.....

All women who attend New Covenant Presbyterian Church are considered part of WIC (Women in the Church), sometimes referred to as Women's Ministry.  The purpose of the WIC is to equip every woman to know Christ personally and to extend His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.

Not only is the WIC an integral part of the overall ministry at NCPC, it is part of the nation-wide WIC ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America.  We also belong to Grace Presbytery WIC, a relationship that affords us opportunities for fellowship, ministry, and instruction beyond the walls of our own church.

The WIC Leadership Council desires to encourage and equip all women in embracing and obeying what our Lord called the greatest commandment:  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37).

WIC provides many opportunities for women to grow in their love for God in every aspect of life.  Opportunities for growth include Sunday School classes, Bible study groups, retreats, and luncheons, as well as other special events and activities that are integrated into church life.

As members of God's covenant family, we have both great privileges and great responsibilities.  We are responsible to show mercy because God has been so merciful to us.  We are responsible to train and encourage our sisters in the ways of righteousness (Titus 2:3-4).
