Children and Youth

WEEKLY MINISTRIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 4 - 12 INCLUDE:

Covenant Kids, a Wednesday Afternoon Program

Covenant Kids meet each Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 for ages 4-12.  A simple snack is provided.

The classes are held at the downtown location (117 South Front St., beside McComb Electric Supply).

Sunday Evening Catechism Classes (Teaching Bible truths by simple questions and answers)

These classes meet on Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. during the Sunday evening Worship and Fellowship time. This is an excellent opportunity for children to learn foundational Christian truths using the First Catechism. The class uses Kid's Quest Catechism materials published by Great Commission Press.

Sunday School Classes for children of all ages are held each Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday School classes meet at 9:30 a.m. We currently have three classes available for children: 2 through 4 years old, taught by Jennifer Charles; K5-1st grade, taught by Carol Stephenson; and 2nd-6th grade, taught by Lisa Storey.  New Covenant uses Sunday School materials written by Great Commission Publications.  Great Commission teaches from a Reformed perspective, seeks to reflect the distinctive doctrines of grace, and stands fast on the Scriptures as the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

ACTIVITIES FOR JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH INCLUDE:

A Sunday School Class for Junior High and High School youth meets each Sunday at 9:30 a.m.  Russ Carruth teaches this class.

Covenant Youth meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm at the church facility.  The class is led by Russ Carruth.

High School youth attend the annual Reformed Youth Conference in Panama City each July.

Other activities are held for the youth at various times of the year.
