Linda grew up in Cruger, Mississippi, a small town in the Mississippi Delta. Blessed to be raised in a home where church fellowship was important, Linda Wixon came to saving faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She received her undergraduate degree in education from Belhaven University, and a graduate degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. Linda has worked as an elementary classroom teacher and in software development and training.
Linda has been a member of the Nagoya, Japan Church-Planting Team since 1998. Her focus was teaching missionary children in a new Christian school that was started by the MTW church-planting team and a Southern Baptist missionary. After being in Japan as a short-term missionary for three years, Linda was approved to retrun to Japan as a career missionary, serving in the growing school. After prayerful consideration, Linda felt that it was time to leave the school and was asked to return to Japan with the Nagoya Church-Planting Team.
Linda's focus is on the areas of women's ministry, children's ministry, teaching English in the team English school Wix, and helping with some team administration.
