What To Expect

What to Expect:

Visiting a new church can be a daunting prospect. For this reason, we want to prepare you for what you will experience on a typical Sunday at NCPC.

NCPC is a new congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. Age-wise, we are somewhere in the middle. On an average Sunday morning, attendance is around 100 with a few visitors joining us weekly. We are a church committed to reaching the city of McComb as well as South Mississippi with the ancient and transforming message of the Gospel.

Sunday School:

Christian Education is an integral facet of New Covenant's overall ministry of Gospel transformation. We offer classes and seminars that present a gospel-centered worldview, emphasize the transformation of the entire person and apply the gospel to the realities of diverse life-stages, professional needs, and personal circumstances. These classes begin at 9:15am and conclude by 10:00am.

Post Sunday School:

We provide coffee and light refreshments in the large foyer outside the sanctuary immediately after worship to encourage fellowship. This is a great time to meet new people and catch up with old friends.

Worship:

Our worship service formally begins at 10:25 am with announcements. At the beginning of our worship we sing several songs and offer prayers of adoration, confession and thanksgiving to our God. This is followed by listening to Scripture read and preached, the monthly celebration of the sacrament of Communion, and the giving our tithes and offerings. Finally, we are sent out with the gracious embrace of our God to engage the world.
